What's wrong with my regular 1-inch filter?

Nothing's wrong with it—it's just limited. Standard 1-inch filters catch large particles but miss the smaller stuff that affects air quality: fine dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores. They also need frequent replacement.

What's a media air cleaner?

A media air cleaner uses a thick, pleated filter (4-5 inches) that catches far more particles than standard filters. It mounts in your ductwork and filters all the air your system circulates. More effective, lasts longer between changes.

Are HEPA filters worth it?

True HEPA filters are excellent—they capture 99.97% of particles. But most HVAC systems can't handle their airflow restriction without modification. Portable HEPA units for bedrooms work great. Whole-home HEPA requires proper system design.

How do electronic air cleaners work?
